Try something different with Wolfen NC500 from Germany!

NC500 is a daylight balanced 400 ISO C41 colour negative film produced by ORWO in Germany. It is part of ORWO’s return to colour film, drawing from original AGFA motion picture film formulas developed in the 1990s and reintroduced through modern production.

NC500 delivers soft, dreamy colours with a pastel like feel, a gentle warm yellow tone, and rich, striking reds. Greens remain natural, shadows lean slightly desaturated, and grain adds texture without overwhelming the image. The overall look is cinematic and expressive, with a palette that feels intentionally different from contemporary colour stocks.

Designed for shooting outdoors in natural light, NC500 performs best on sunny days where its warmth and colour character really shine. It is well suited to daylight portraits, street photography, and everyday moments where a softer, film forward look is desired.

ORWO has been clear that NC500 is not an attempt to imitate existing films on the market. Instead, it offers an alternative colour profile with its own character and visual language.

This film is not rebranded, repackaged, or sourced from Kodak or Fujifilm. NC500 is a newly produced colour film, made entirely in Germany as fresh factory stock.

Customer note:
The printed best before date is March 2025. This is a conservative date from an early production batch and does not affect performance. The film remains in excellent condition and delivers results as intended.

NC500 is a beautiful choice for photographers who want a modern colour film with subtle heritage influence, offering warmth, softness, and a distinctly cinematic feel.
