The Velvet Grain Film Lab is coming soon.

Right now, we’re in the exciting process of building our very own in-house lab. A space where every frame will be treated with care, intention, and that soft vintage Velvet Grain flare. Soon, your film will be developed right here, where it’s shot, scanned, and loved.

Until then, we’re making sure your rolls are still cared for with the same level of dedication.

Each week, we’ll send your film to Mr Negative, one of Australia’s most trusted and beloved film developers. Your film will be express shipped, and we’ll take care of everything - all you need to do is drop it off and wait for the magic to come back.

Here’s how it works:

• Express shipping every Monday morning

• We manage all ordering, shipping, and costs so you don’t have to

• C41 colour film: scanned and emailed back to you in 5–10 days (excluding peak holiday periods)

• Black and White and ECN film: turnaround of 10–14 days

• Option to have your negatives returned for an additional cost

This service ensures Velvet Grain can support your film journey from every angle while our lab comes to life.

You keep shooting, we’ll take care of the rest.

The Velvet Grain Film drop off box will be located at 82 Kent Street, Rockhampton City, 4700.

Simply pop your film in the box, press the bell on the side and wait for your frames to be returned!

Please ensure to complete payment through our website before drop or at drop off - your film will be sent for development each Monday.

When dropping off film, please put your film in a ziploc bag with your name, order number and phone number written on the bag. Thank you :)
