NC400 is a modern 400 ISO C41 colour negative film produced by ORWO in Germany. It is part of ORWO’s new colour film lineup, inspired by original 1990s motion picture film formulas and manufactured using newly revived colour production.

NC400 is tungsten balanced and designed for shooting under artificial light. It delivers a refined, cinematic look with smoother grain, natural greens, gently desaturated shadows, and carefully controlled colour contrast. Compared to NC500, this stock feels more restrained and deliberate rather than bold or punchy.

Under indoor or mixed lighting, NC400 performs at its best. When shot outdoors in daylight, it produces a cooler blue toned image that many photographers enjoy for its moody, film forward character.

This film is not rebranded, repackaged, or sourced from Kodak or Fujifilm. NC400 is a newly produced colour film, made entirely in Germany as fresh factory stock.
