Bat Country is a tungsten balanced colour cine film, meaning it is designed to perform under artificial lighting such as street lights, neon, indoor lighting, and nightlife environments. Instead of the typical yellow cast many films produce under tungsten lighting, Bat Country renders scenes with cooler tones, balanced highlights, and rich cinematic colour.

For best results we recommend shooting Bat Country around ISO 400, where it produces strong contrast and beautifully controlled colour. It can also be comfortably pushed to ISO 800 when you need extra speed in darker environments.

Although designed for night shooting, Bat Country also creates a distinctive look in daylight. When used outdoors it produces cooler colour tones and a moody cinematic palette that many photographers love for street, travel, and experimental work.

As a motion picture film stock, Bat Country offers excellent latitude and flexibility when editing, allowing photographers to fine tune white balance, colour temperature, and grading to shape the final look of their images.

This film includes a remjet backing layer, which prevents halation and protects the film during processing, resulting in crisp highlights and strong contrast.
